The tombs of tzaddikim (religious figures deemed "righteous") scattered across the Upper Galilee will soon rank as the top destination for visitors from Israel and abroad seeking good health, spiritual strength, even a marriage partner. That, at least, is the vision of developers promoting a plan to market the northern region as a center of spiritual and recreational tourism.

Dvar Torah: The Holiness of Making a Tiyul In Eretz Yisroel

"Its been said that Avraham Avinu had to walk the length and breadth of the land of Israel in order to really make "kinyan," to become the true inheritor of the Land....Hiking (or biking!) across the land of Israel is the only way to truly fall in love with it, whether you're a tourist or a solider" - Jerry Silverman, student at Bat Ayin

Beautiful Pictures of Israel
I found a blog titled "Israel the Beautiful."
The blog posts one article a week with a beautiful picture and how the photographer took the picture. The photographer, Yehoshua Halevi, truly has a beautiful eye for taking pictures and has stunning photos on his blog. He is a Jerusalem-based photojournalist, event photographer, teacher, writer and trekking guide and you can find more of his work at http://www.goldenlightimages.com/.
I have added some of his pictures to my photo slideshow on the side.
